Salsa is much more than “1-2-3, 5-6-7”: come and experience how it feels to dance contratiempo (literally “against the beat”), using the conga and clave as our guides! We’ll mix in some techniques from cuban Son in a smooth fusion of partnerwork and footwork, to help you open new doors for your dancing!
ATTEND THESE CLASSES, IF YOU:
✓ Can lead/follow all kinds of combinations in Cuban style with a nice flow, already use footwork and styling and feel confident and relaxed when dancing.
✓ Are dancing Cuban Salsa or LA style on an intermediate/advanced level and want to get challenged with new styles.
✓ Salsa dancing experience: 1 year or more. You have completed several intermediate classes and dance regularly in social parties.
IN THESE CLASSES YOU WILL LEARN:
✧ Elegant and fun turn patterns, combined with juicy footwork on the son/contratiempo beat.
✧ How to break down, understand and dance on the instruments in the music.
✧ New ways of traveling the dance floor with your partner, and combinations that you can use also while dancing Cuban Salsa.
