For those ready to dive into the details! This isn’t just another class of “footwork and combinations” — it’s a genuine training environment where you can develop and refine your dancing at a higher level. We work with both solo and partnerwork exercises through standard sequences as well as alternative exercises to create a focused and detailed training environment.
Take this course if you
Can lead/follow all types of combinations with a good flow, use footwork and styling, and feel confident and relaxed when you dance.
Have very solid timing and can play with the music.
Have 1–2 years of salsa experience or more. As a minimum, you should have attended our level 4 for several seasons, or have extensive experience with Cuban salsa.
On this course you will learn
Focused technical training and “advanced basics”: all the nerdy exercises that lift your dancing right from the foundation.
Longer and more complex sequences in both solo and partnerwork.
How to dance some of the other styles within the salsa family, such as son, rumba, cha-cha-cha and L.A.
NOTE — screening required. The teacher’s approval is required; please contact us before signing up if you have not been screened. Your sign-up may be cancelled if your level is assessed as not being a good fit for the group.
